We spent a phenomenal weekend with Rick and Pat Binger at their
Spotted Fever Ranch in Southern Colorado. They were the perfect
hosts with excellent and comfortable accommodations, absolutely
delicious and creative meals and they provide an opportunity NOT
TO BE MISSED. They have wonderful, gentle, safe horses that took
us through beautiful country as we were able to view Mustangs in
their natural habitat. It was a once in a lifetime experience. We
became special friends for the future. We highly recommend their
Ranch as a unique Western experience.

The Mediterranean, Caribbean, Mexico, Panama
been there done
that: I am not new to travel or adventure but my weekend vacation
at Spotted Fever Ranch will remain one of the most memorable
experiences of my life. You leave with a sense of pride and a true
appreciation for nature and of course beautiful Colorado. From the
first day of horseback riding through the San Luis Valley to see
the most majestic creatures in the true form moving through the
valley to the second day of herding up the long horns; you feel
free and humbled. Most of all the company of Pat and Rick Binger
is wonderful, they are real people and I enjoyed spending time with
them, they are very welcoming and make you feel at home immediately.
Without a doubt I will be re-visiting Spotted Fever Ranch
in the near future!

I spent my 52nd birthday at Spotted Fever Ranch, and I cannot
think of a better way to have celebrated this milestone! I love
horses and great food. Throw in good company, a comfortable atmosphere,
stunning scenery AND a birthday cake, and you have Spotted Fever
Ranch. Pat and Rick went out of their way to make this a memorable
trip. It worked! Ill be back!

Spotted Fever Ranch provided the perfect weekend get-away
for our family. Pat and Rick Binger graciously opened their home
to us and filled us with wonderful company, food and conversation.
The highlight of our visit was our day long trail ride to view Mustangs.
During the ride, the Bingers anticipated and provided for our every
need. Our teenage daughters can't wait to go back!

Wide open spaces,
blue sky from horizon to horizon we ride well-mannered horses
towards the valley of the Rio Grande River. As we cross a low ridge
we see a dozen or more wild horses mares, foals and the ranking
stallion. They are so close we can see the whites of their eyes
as they show their surprise at our sudden appearance. They gallop
in an arc around us and stop momentarily further down the ridge
as though they are bidding us farewell. Then they whirl about and
vanish over the ridge. For a moment we sit astride our horse in
silence overwhelmed by the beauty and the demonstration of
freedom we have been privileged to witness.
